From WEST (New Haven)
I 95 North, exit 83 (Downtown New London) straight through light @ end of the ramp on to Huntington St. 2nd light turn left on to Governor Winthrop Blvd parking garage on right or continue to 2nd light turn right on to Eugene O'Neill Blvd. Parking garage on left or continue straight 2 blocks to municipal parking lots.
From EAST (Rhode Island)
I 95 South exit 84s (Downtown New London) follow expressway as it turns into Eugene O'Neill Blvd at the NL Police station. Turn right at Police station for Go.. Winthrop Parking Garage OR Continue straight on Eugene O'Neill, the parking garage (water St garage) is on the left or continue straight on Eugene O'Neill to municipal parking lots on left.
From Hartford
Route 2 East to Route 11 South until it ends.Left onto Rt. 82 to first traffic light. Right on to Rt. 85 south. Take I 95 North in Waterford and follow directions from East (New Haven)
From Worcester/ Norwich

Route 395 south to Exit 78 Rt. 32 south continue on Rt. 32 as expressway ends in downtown and turns in to Eugene O'Neill Blvd. Parking garage and lots ahead on the left.

Alternate route from RT1 (Waterford) eastbound - Boston Post Rd to Bank St in New London. Follow Bank St East in to Downtown.
Be advised, It is suggested if you are arriving for the fireworks to arrive extremely early as this display is one of the largest in the East coast and attracts high volumes of traffic. Traffic updates can be obtained from NLPD 447-5269 or by tuning to radio102.3.fm or 530 am .PARKING GARAGES available on Water Street (call 860-443-1775 ) and Gov. Winthrop Blvd (860-443-3700).. On street and free parking also available with in blocks of the festival. We are a small City so arrive early and avoid delays.

Avoid traffic jams and consider traveling by Amtrak from New Haven / Old Saybrook, Mystic or Westerly RI, CLICK for possible train travel options. AMTRAK

PARKING is available in 2 Parking Garages: Water Street Garage, across from the train station, and on Gov. Winthrop Blvd across from the Radisson Hotel. COME EARLY avoid firework traffic jams! See marked spots on the Downtown New London map. Click here of below to see map.

ANCHORAGE also available South of the U.S. Customs Pier (aka Coast Guard Pier) between Shaws Cove RR bridge, with Dingy dock also available. Moorings available (white floats) for 24hrs stay South of City Pier. Coast Guard INFO

HANDICAP PARKING : There is ample handicap parking conveniently located in the parking garages right up front.

NOTICE: There will be no docking at any of the waterfront piers during sailfest for    security reasons. The floating docks can be used as dingy dock.
